We are pleased to announce the re-mixed & re-mastered edition of the Tom Principato Classic CD "Raising The Roof!". There's a much more "organic" and clearer sound to the recording, re-mixed by Bob Dawson and re-mastered by Mike Monseur at Bias studios Springfield, Va., and there are different versions of some of the songs. Included is a bonus cut: a live version of "Don't Wanna Do It" from the band's appearance at the Montreux, Switzerland Jazz Festival this past July, re-done art work and new and "greener" & environment friendly digipak packaging.

Praise for "A Part of Me"...
Part of Me" is well worth the wait, and not just because

TPB just won the "Gary
Allen's Best Song in the World" contest for
"Don't Wanna Do It"! This excellent song features
Sonny Landreth & Chuck Leavell. Here's
what Gary Allen (The Charlie Daniels Band/JJ
Cale/Stonewall Jackson) had to say:
"I couldn't agree more
that if Eric Clapton packed it in and turned over the pick
to a successor, that could easily be Tom Principato.
I love the clever, bluesy cover of JJ Cale's "Lies".
I wouldn't be surprised if next month I was writing Tom
up as my Sonicbids contest winner. I told him the competition
was as stiff as Al Gore but it didn't scare him any. The
performances are dynamic and bombastic and Tom's voice has
that fullness and body that his friend Stevie Ray Vaughan
and Clapton possess. If I had the cash to buy one new blues
artist CD this year, I would proudly hand it over for The
Tom Prinicipato Band."
After over 10 years Tom Principato
continues to use and endorse Curt Mangan Strings. Find out

Vintage Guitar Magazine interviews Tom in one their feature
is featured in Vintage Guitar Magazine. Lots of great pictures
and in depth information in this excellent article. Here's
how it starts:
Tom Principato Band recently released Raising the Roof and
Principato sat with Vintage Guitar to discuss his history
and the instruments he has used while creating it. He has
resided in Boston, Pittsburgh, and Austin and is now settled
back in D.C., where he came of age listening to local legends.
really got interested in guitar from listening to my parents
records," he recalled. "Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Charlie
Christian. My parents were in their 30s when I was born and
there was a lot of swing music in the house when I was growing
up. I started playing the guitar when I was 11 and struggled
with it on into high school..."
made an oustanding custom shop amp for Tom. The President
of VVT Amps, Tony Albany, wrote the following letter of thanks.
and building an amplifier worthy of Tom’s already impressive
collection of Vintage amps, proved to be quite a challenge.
With Tom's design concept and the builders here at VVT Amps,
I am happy to say both Tom and I couldn't be more pleased
with his new Custom Shop VVT.
Tom for the opportunity to work with you and look forward
to a long and TONEFULL!! Relationship...

"Music reminds us of the best that we are about" --Wynton Marsalis on Emeril Live 8/21/06
"While I acknowledge that my primary function on Earth
is to be a musician, I also see that music is nothing more
than the essential component of humanity-it is all the same
material. My feeling is that the more I can learn about music,
the more I learn about other things. So far, it has worked
for me. --Pat Metheny
